Cell Phone Service Information:

Cell service is weak throughout Shimek State Forest. The best cell phone service in the Lick Creek Unit is on the road in front of the Upper Campground and on the main road above the Lower Campground. In other areas, service is very sketchy-- go to higher ground, away from trees for the best cell phone service access.
