Spring is coming!
We will soon be back in the saddle enjoying the fresh air, plenty of
sunshine, and the sounds of the forest.
3/17/22: Update on road and trails in the Lick Creek Unit at Shimek from DNR Technician Patrick Thomas
The roads are mostly dry. Dirt trails remain closed as they are muddy yet. The Wet Weather Trails are open but do have some soft areas. Recent warm temperature’s along with winds have been helpful in firming them up.
However, watch the weather reports as there is rain in the forecast for Friday 3/18. Yes, the rain has been falling all day today (Friday) and more is expected the following Tuesday for Shimek.
Please be mindful of the trail conditions as we embark on 2022's new adventures.
